Busy Signal?

I know that when you call a person and if their phone is busy it will make a slow beeping noise. Is a faster version of that noise still a busy signal? Or does it mean something else?

yes. if a person is calling someone from a cell phone it will be a little faster. that could be the cell tower is busy.

It use to mean there was trouble on the line but anymore it can jsut be the signal. It seems that with so many companies on the market that there are no hard and fast answers.

if it'a a continuous beep, then it'smost likely a busy signal...
