  1. You will need a basic license to keep any native reptiles, but private individuals can't keep any exotic species.

The only places allowed to hold an exotic license are zoo's, researchers, and public demonstrators etc.

Here's a link to the reptile license needed to keep reptiles in Queensland. You will find all the information you need here, like what species you can keep, license costs etc.

    Hope this helps! =)

  2. yes u do have to have a lisence i not shore but if its leagal in queensland

  3. In australia you don't need a license unless the animal you want is a native species so if you get a chamelian you won't need one.

  4. Ben you are an idiot, learn the laws before you answer a question. No exotic reptiles are allowed to be kept privately in Australia.

  5. Yep, methodh2x and tempest are right - there is no license available to keep exotics because they are HIGHLY illegal.

There are massive fines associated with keeping exotics and you run the risk of your entire collection being destroyed if you are caught!

Look around at our gorgeous Australian native reptiles and go to the zoo to check out exotics!
