Well. In the Rly budget, it was announced that the said facility will be available even for wait listed tickets. If you it is not yet available, may be very soon, ti will be done.

e-ticket waitlist facility  has been announced in the budget(2008-2009)

as you know the trains which were announced in the last budget (2007-2008)yet to start then just think the speed of our indian railway.

they are fast in making money not in the service. as this is a service which wont get them money it will take time. suppose if they get some money like advt. leasing of railway land, tenders, they are so fast that they can beat the super computers all over the world.
