Butchers Bounty set to show smart act in Swindon’s BGRF Owners Bonus Series - Heat 1
Butchers Bounty is performing reasonably well at the A2 level these days. After a recent strike, the black dog is fully pumped, and has solid claims in the opening heat of BGRF Owners Bonus Series, taking place at Swindon on Friday, September 14th.
After bagging a comprehensive victory in mid August, K. Hutton’s charge unfortunately lost his rhythm, and faced a terrible loss. He raised his game the following time, but could only end up among top-3. Although he railed quite nicely in the beginning,
getting bumped took all the credit away from him.
The son of Hades Rocket was mighty impressive last time around. Despite getting crowded early on, the dashing hound managed to establish his dominance at the fourth bend. Petite Falbrav kept challenging him, but the maverick hound did well to ensure the
first rank by a head’s distance.
Wearing red jacket, Butchers Bounty is in good shape at the moment. He just needs to avoid crowding in order to thrive today. Among his opponents are: Ballyera Jet, Butterbridge Kat, Pennys Phantom, Woodbridge Lady and Droopys Osprey.
The 480 metres contest is scheduled to begin at 16:47 GMT. The champion of this Grade A2 event will leave the field with a cash prize of £95. Alongside a decent prize, the victor will get a place in the next round of the series.
Ballyera Jet faced a couple of unlucky defeats at this level before stepping down to the A3 class. The black and white dog made the best use of the opportunity, and regained his momentum with a comfortable win. Showing an equally good show at this level
will be a tough task though.
Butterbridge Kat is a huge threat to Butchers Bounty. The draw is not in her favour, but still one cannot underestimate her. She is jumping up to this class after doing well at the lower levels.
Pennys Phantom needs to be more alert when the starter waves the flag. Woodbridge Lady may have to pull out a little extra here. Droopys Osprey is likely to be priced up attractively. The brindle dog is not in good form these days.
We predict a close battle between Butchers Bounty and Butterbridge Kat. The former should be preferred, as he is enjoying a good draw.
