Bute Street, Legend Erry and Grandad Mac – tricky trio for the Freebets.Co.UK Free Mobile Betting Handicap
The Class 5 Freebets.Co.UK Free Mobile Betting Handicap has pulled together some overwhelmingly tremendous potential for the two mile and forty-nine yard race at Chepstow on Wednesday, 4th July.
The line-up of nine four-year-olds and above will thunder through the distance for bringing back the £2,264 prize money.
Bute Street, Legend Erry and Grandad Mac, all three have solid reasons for putting up a show today.
Out of the eight seasonal outings, Superior Premium’s seven-year-old won back-to-back races, and has won thrice otherwise.
The bay gelding won the Bath Ales Swan Handicap on 8th June, 2012, at Bath race course over a mile and five furlong. With William Carson riding, the two enjoyed the 2 ¾ length lead.
Foaled in 2005 by Hard To Follow, Bute Street won the Brandon Trust Great Western Bike Ride Handicap on 16th June, 2012 at Bath race course over a mile and three and one-half furlong.
The unchallenged favourite winner took up the two and one-half length lead under jockey, William Carson.
There is hardly a doubt about the ability of the Ron Hodges trained to notch up two victories in a row, but the distance that he has to undertake today is longer than what he has raced through before.
Act One’s eight-year-old bay gelding, out of mare Azure Lake, has faced defeat since the last five outings, but that was only after he had struck a hat-trick in 2007-08.
Venetia Williams’ under charge should have way more on the plate during his second outing of the season, the first being a comeback after three years. That is more than a reasonable duration of a layoff in order to bounce back successfully.
The four-year-old bay gelding, Grandad Mac has already showcased his capability through the last race. Invincible Spirit’s son scored second in the Back Or Lay At Betdaq.Com Handicap on 27th June, 2012 at Kempton over two miles.
The runner-up missed the race by 1 ¼ lengths, but gave a promising performance.
He is the only one out of the three, who has raced over two miles recently, and that might give him the most sought out edge today.
