Butlins minehead ?

Question

im going to butlins in august with my four kids , ive never been b4 so would like to know a few thing's from people who have been there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

whats it like there ?

how much money per person would you recomend ?

what are the appartments like (im going silver plus) ?

whats the beach like ? dirty or clean ?

would you take your groceries with you or buy them from the onsite market ?

I think of the place as a budget holiday camp. They have facilities but you pay for lots of things and the facilities are not top of the range.

To be honest I'm not sure about the answers to some of your questions e.g. type of accommodation, costs. The beach is not sandy, if I remember right. It could even be a bit muddy. I would buy groceries outside if I were you as I'm sure they're cheaper outside.

It depends what sort of holiday you like. Some would really enjoy it. It's quite a big site. It's got a nice relaxed atmosphere but I'd go at the right time. I think in August there would be lots of people, which is good.
