Butlins skegness?

has anyone been to butlins? we are going with our two young children and wondering how much spending money to take for one week? we are self catering

well im 16 and this yr feb (08) i went with my dad and 3 of my friends. we brought about £80 each for a monday-friday trip. my friends were bankrupt by thursday lol, i had £10 left by then and got more money off my dad, but we did spend a lot of money on drinks (alcohol). we were self catering aswell so on tuesday we went tesco down the road and bought food (a lot cheaper than the supermarket in butlins). it was a good trip but expensive and were def going again feb 09.

Tips: don't buy j20's from pubs for your children, go tesco and get multipack drinks, save you a lot of money.

Hi there,

when are you going?  i'm going in June but mid week and it was very very cheap to go half board (bout £72 each for all week!) everything is free inside eg rides, pool and funclubs but you might be better taking your own food and treating yourselves for a meal at night - obviously the kids will want icecreams and sweets so budget for that.  There is a shop on site so don't panic if you forget anything.  Let me know if you require any more info.  Enjoy yourselves.!
