Butner, NC and Durham, NC?

Hello. I wanted to know how far in general is Butner, NC from Durham, NC? My husband may have a new job there, and I would love to know how far it is. 1 hour 2 maybe?

Well, Durham's pretty big so it depends on from what part of the city.  

From the North/Northeastern parts, you can just hop on I-85 and be in Butner in less than half an hour.  

But if you're in the south or western parts, say near the Chapel Hill border, it can certainly go over an hour.  

It's not uncommon for people who work in Butner to live in Durham and commute there.  They usually try to be in neighborhoods on the northend, near I-85--- like Northgate, Braggtown, Duke Park, and so on.
