Butterflies??? What was this?

Question

I was on holiday in the South of France where i saw some beautiful butterflies, mainly Swallowtails, but the one i thought was the most beautiful and very ethereal looking was a large acid yellow/fading to green and finally turquoise! Does anyone know what this butterfly was and where can i see a picture of it? I would love to know the name of it?

head to your local library, and look at a book with pictures of butterflies, from around the world, or if they have a book, on just european types.  then you can try and see if there is a picture of the one your intrested in.

try google and enter pictures of butterflys, your bond to find it if you do a little digging! good luck.
