This year’s event was also marked with the presence of some of the biggest names of the racing world as well as the contemporary heroes of the sport. One of the most celebrated heroes of the event was Jenson Button. The British hero was able to magnetise everyone’s gaze as he drove the 1986 Alain Prost turbo McLaren to the hill climb. People roared and cheered as he waved to the enthusiastic fans with pride and delight of the great car he drove.
Button is also expected to grab the attention and support of his natives as he is going to race at his home land next week. Currently the man stands at second place in the Drivers’ Standing with a difference of only seven points from his teammate Lewis Hamilton who stands at the top position of the charts and is also from the same country.
The other driver who claimed everyone’s attention was the Aussie driver, Mark Webber driving the Red Bull car. He was loved and cherished by the entire crowd as he went uphill. Webber had been lucky last week at the Valencia circuit in Spain as he survived a drastic accident on the track. The Red Bull car did a complete somersault as it hit the tyre wall after staying in the air for a while due to which Webber had to resign from the race. Now only after a week the man was seen behind the wheel of the Red Bull car which was equal to a miracle and of course a delight for his fans. Webber at the cheerful event, told the crowd after a tyre-smoking doughnut manoeuvre that he was just trying to living things up, as that is the Red Bull way, he added with a big smile.
There were several other F1 stars as well, that graced the weekend with their presence. Among the others were Nico Rosberg, the Mercedes GP driver, Jarno Truilli of Lotus and Bruno Senna, the Hispania Racing Team was also there. As each driver passed the track people screamed and cheered to see their super stars out of the paddock which is a rare event at Formula One. Among the yesteryear’s stars were Emerson Fittipaldi and Sir Jackie Stewart who made the event even more glorified and celebrated.

The sun gleamed and sparkled on people as they kept on chuckling and having fun as the event unwrapped.
