  1. well eat before you go or just bring your own snacks

  2. I don't care to eat meals in the Dark! How do you know when the salad is spoiled or something ? WOW the Price of their meals is high as a kite.  Not to mention not much on the menu for a Diabetic ! I am guilty of bringing food in My huge Purse for me and any one who's with me ! Because most of us get condition to eat a snack and drink a drink when in the Movies and if i don't bring something I crave the over salty full of fat Popcorn they serve! I tend to get Nuts, a bottle water and maybe a sugar free chocolate! I also try to eat before I go ! I do see folks buy things and I have gotten drinks or refills on things with the wait staff after all refills are free and i don't need to leave the movie I do Tip them a buck for doing the leg work so don't be cheap if you do this after all your not missing the Movie so its a great service!  So take it with a grain of salt enjoy the Movie either way thats what it is all about after all!

  3. I think is is acceptable, it's helps them make money. You can eat before you go, or after.

  4. If you mean buying food at a cinema, well, you don't HAVE to.

  5. This is only news in the sense that this recently

happened to this individual, the policy that only food and drink purchased on the premises can be consumed there is not new to particular, perhaps most, cinemas. It's their right to have that policy-cinemas are private businesses, not council amenities. Nobody's complaining or expecting that pubs would allow you to bring in your own drinks- they probably wouldn't survive- so why complain about cinemas? Is it because of the opinion that cinemas shouldn't rely so much on food and drink for their income? Well, considering that so many cinema screens often play to near empty seats, cinemas need to charge more for food and drink. People will try to bring in their own food and drink but any private business has a right to refuse entry (they have to clean up any debris you create remember). True, the

prices may be high but it is up to any business what

it charges on its own premises, as long as there has

been no collusion between different cinema chains

which would constitute price fixing. You have a choice

not to buy food and drink there if you don't want to.

  6. I understand that it's their rules, but if they lowered the prices to something more sensible then people wouldn't be tempted to bring their own snacks in.

Their prices are pretty extortionate for what they sell, so I think it's the Cinema corporations' fault that people bring their own stuff in.

  7. I think you may be referring to the man who was told he could not use his own sweets and soft drinks.

It is preposterous that you can't take your own sweets in. I agreed with him, these are extremely expensive to buy at the Kiosk.

We are not all in a position to spend that much on sweets, so why should be deprived of not taking our own cheaper ones.

  8. Either eat before you go or buy it. Those are the only two choices. Unless you sneak it in.

  9. Well I agree with it. You wouldnt go into a restaurant and take your own steak would you?

    You are on their premises.

  10. Just sneak food in in your purse (or your girlfriends) :-P

  11. granted you are on their premises but it depends on the cinema itself some cinema's are really strict and can even throw you out if you are found to be eating food not purchased on the premises but other don't mind so much.

If you have problem with the prices of food in your local establishment why not just attempt to take your own, very few will actually say anything and if they do you know then for future and can raise your concerns further with management i have done it in the past and been sent free cinema vouchers so why not try. its better than just moping to yourself about the cost!

  12. As for robert ...above me there. What about the 10.00 ticket you paid to get in?dont tell me they didnt make money off that!!its sad a family cant really afford to go to movies because actors think they deserve millions.I have three kids and hubby its 50.00 bucks for us to enter ..no popcorn included!!!....no wonder the movie industry it losing tovideo games..we will stay home play wii, xbox 360..

  13. Most companies do this now days

    ITS CALLED PROFIT

it sucks but its the business world for you -

  14. DON'T buy any as it is a rip off.

  15. It is quite bad but they get a lot of money out of it. At my local cinema they have the prices raised on food and drinks but do not allow food or drink to be brought into the cinema which was not purchased on the premises. From a business point of view they are making lots of money but from a customers point of view it is quite a 'rip-off.'

  16. Eat before you go stupid

  17. I don't understand why anyone would need food in the cinema.  I take sweets but that is all.  I am probably not understanding the question, do you mean hot food?

  18. That's how they make money.

  19. You have to take a Mortgage out to afford a trip to the cinema these days ,Theres ways and means ,Get some popcorn from the supermarket before you go, Whos going to know s***w top bottle of pepsi in your handbag or your friends

  20. You don't.  You can take a bag of food in with you.

  21. I think it's not fair from the Cinema's side: you pay money to watch the movie and not to have an opportunity to buy expensive food. For paying for food you'll go to restuarant, won't you?
