I am 17 years old...My parents said the only way I can have a car is if i stay home for college....im thinking of doing so.....my dad is real iffy on letting me buy one (even with my own money) only because he just shelled out 17k for my sister's car. I love cars and I want one so badly....what can I possibly say to them to convince them to let me buy one??

  1. well it would depend if you live some where that you can easily get around with out a car..if you do then i would say no...wait awhile..cars, insurance are allot of responsibility and money...and if you go away to college you really would not need a car ..there is usually always someone around to give you a ride or public transportation...plus think of the money you can save on not having to shell out money for gas..good luck !

  2. Well if you want a car so bad, don't get an expensive one, get a small sedan that gets good mpg. I would suggest a used saturn. Just tell your parents a saturn is a good, dependable, inexpensive car. And also tell them they get great gas mileage.
