It's all subjective and everyone will never agree on the top 5 greatest, let alone THE greatest.  But I'll BUY it and not just because I'm a KRS fan from way back. Most true HipHop fans have KRS toward the top of their list, and often he is #1 on a list.  I've always had KRS, Chuck D, and Rakim as my top three.

Of course he is!!!  He's one of the originals in the game. hes been around for over 2 decades and hes been representing the game the same since he started. all his songs have a message in it and if you listen to him you could tell that he puts time and effort into it.

sell.........because i think either Tupac shakur(2pac) or sean carter(jay-z) represent hiphop. the reason is that they are more versatile than KRS. they make party songs, songs about struggle, songs about politics, and yea dont forget NAS aka gods son aka illmatic but seriously not KRS, Rakim, talib kweli, common, mos def, immortal technique. biggie smalls.
