Buy toyota avanza 1.3 manual/1.3 auto or 1.5 ?

i suggest you buy the 1.5 because it has more power. you need this power when you load the car, have 4 or so people ride with you, climbing up hill and so on. between manual and auto, its really upto you. if you can drive smoothly and have no trouble with a manual, then go for it. better fuel economy and you can control the engine.

if you can be easily distructed, or you are nervous or you feel like you need to concentrate pretty hard while driving.., you want to relax and feel like you are not driving at all, go for the a/t.

as for 1.3 vs 1.5, power to weight ratio will give you better efficiency with the bigger engine. but if you're always stuck in traffic, it will have two scenarios.

Not moving, 1.3 is better. Stop and Go traffic, 1.5

i would go with the manual, you can juice a few more mpg  out of it, and they are more fun to drive.  it's always good to know how to drive stick though, never know when you need to.
