Long story short--i'm being extorted on ebay. Buyer bought $160 item from me and demands a partial refund of $40 or he will leave me negative feedback and escalate the paypal dispute to a claim. I'm about the 6th person this jerk has extorted. Me and his 5 other victims all reported him. paypal and ebay told us that he his "well within his rights to do so". So i'm left with 2 options.

a) I give him the partial refund of $40 or

b) I allow him to escalate this to a claim, and by doing this, paypal will always automaticallly rule in his favor. This jerk sends me an empty box, or missing items with signiture confirmation, and upon delivery of the junk he's had for almost a month, paypal will return him the $160.

I don't want to let him get away with this, and will leave it up to the paypal claim. so what should i do if he sends me back an "empty box". If i file a police report and appeal the case, like paypal suggests, will i still be shoot out of luck, or what will paypal do???

  1. If there are five other people to back up your story and they

agree to support you as witnesses,I think you should file a police report when he sends you the empty box. This sounds like a type of fraud as well as extortion, maybe he can be prosecuted.

At least knowing he's been reported might make him think

twice before he does it to someone else. Maybe.
