He deserves his money back. Why wouldn't he get his money back? Why do you need to ask?

Do you still remember who the guy you sold it too? I forget in 2 days. If you do remember the guy, you can charge the guy storage fee, and return the difference.

where did the item go? why didn't they get the item they paid for at the time? how much money are we talking about? depending on these answers and how much money is involved, maybe you just want to give the money back, minus a storage fee, maybe forget the storage and return the dough--your decision, but there is something fishy sounding about a garage sale purchase and not picking up the item for two months. Of course if you are in any way guilty of something, it could turn out bad for you. Any witnesses to the deal? You don't provide a lot of info and so it's hard to speculate.
