  1. Well here's the thing. Don't go by payments amount. That's the surefire way to be robbed in daylight.

First off find out your Credit Score. If its good, go try a local Credit Union. Put that $3000 aside as a down payment. Once you have sorted out the finance with the Credit Union, you know how much amount of Loan you are getting.

With that in hand, you can start shopping for the Corolla. Get pricing from several dealers. Ask final out the door price & its breakdown. Remember NO ONE pays Sticker Price. Go with the Lowest one.

The Invoice Price of 2008 Corolla CE with Automatic transmission & standard Options is $14,724 with Destination charge of $660. So you should be paying an amount equal to that or as close as possible. You will have to add Documentation Fees for your State and other Standard charges for your state.

  2. You just have to be really good at negotiating a deal with the dealer. 3000 i doubt will cover a newer toyota corolla.

  3. Buy a well cared for used car.

DO NOT finance the car for more than 48 months.
