I live in Australia. If I were to buy a mesa boogie from America and bought one of those power point adapters, would I be able to use the amp?

  1. Darn, the guy above me beat me to it.

Your biggest concearn is going to be your country's power supply.

In America, we use 120V and 60Hz frequency.  You should check to see what your country uses.  If it's close or the same, and if you have a power point adapter, you should be ok.

By the way, doesn't anyone in Australia sell Mesa Boogie amps?

  2. As long as the adapter will deliver 120 volts AC and 60Hz to the amp, it should work fine.

Some amps also have a switch in the back close to the power transformer that lets you switch between different power supplies.

Isn't there a distributor in Australia that would at least offer a warranty with the amp also? You might want to think about that.
