Should I go ahead and buy my college books now on my LIFE scholarship BEFORE college starts or should I wait till the first week? Will my scholarship pay for it all or do I have to go according to the book allowance even if I know for a fact I am going to have left over money even after all my college is done?

  1. I never buy from the campus bookstore because they rip you off. But i would wait till the first week and only get the books if your teacher requires them.

  2. You may want to buy them now. The lines at college bookstores the first two weeks of class can easily wrap around the building at least once.

  3. i think your scholarship would pay for everything. find out if so buy all the books you can. buybacks are great

  4. I suggest you wait because sometimes teachers don't require you to buy the books, sometimes you don't even use them... AT ALL!!!  Usually scholarships pay for tuition and books but it just depends how much money you are getting.  For example, if the scholarship is only $500, and if your classes and books are more than that, you will have to pay out of your pocket but will then be reimbursed the following semester.  It also depends on the type of scholarship that you have, you may want to find out.  Good luck!!! :)

  5. Lucy you.. i dont have any gov funds, or scholarships..

my moms having to pay for the books.
