  2. Plasmas are only made 42 inches and above...so if you are restricted on price and size go with the Sharp 32 inch 1080p tv.  It retails for 1399.99 and has a mms response time of 4.  MMs is the amount of time it takes for the image to refresh...the lower the number the better.  Sharp has the lowest number in the 32" size plus they are one of the only providers of a 1080p tv in that size.  You are not going to find a 22" 1080p tv.

Now 1080 p is what you want.  The "p" means progressive which means that all of the lines on the image will be displayed at once  as opposed to 1080 "I" which means "interlaced" where you will notice a choppier image.

Your ps3 has a 1080p output.  Buying a tv that is 720p or 1080i is not that good because your not making the most out of your ps3.  Plus ps3's all come with a blu ray disc player which is 1080p.  Your pretty much putting a hole in your pocket buying a tv that is 720p and not 1080p when using it to play ps3 games.

Keep in mind that while you notice ghosting, a plasmas will most likely do the same thing unless you buy some of the higher end.  Samsung makes an excellent tv model ln-t4071 which has 1080p and is 120hz technolgy...which all other tvs are 60 hz.  120 means a more life like image and no ghosting but you will pay the price for it...this tv retails for 2100.00.

  3. LCD is very bad for fast moving anything - consider plasma.

Get the largest size you can afford.  The resolution would be the next criteria.  Look at the new Pioneer KURO and Panasonic lines - picture is incredible!  Especially in 1080p, which PS3 is capable of.
