Question:

Buying a 360.. Some input

I had bought a 360 in August 2007, and near the end of January, my 360 started to only go about 4 minutes in between putting it in and saying 'This disk is unreadable'. Not wanting to go through sending it in and waiting long periods of time to get it back, I dumped it on EB games and got a ps2 and about 20 games. I'm very happy with the new releases for the PS2 coming out, and I love being able to buy some old games to have fun with for 5 bucks. But I know it won't be around forever and I heard the Pro Bundle was price-dropped to 299$.

It's a h**l of a lot cheaper than the PS3 and it's accessories, but is there anything that's happened to the 360 within the last year that's made it dependable? Any help would be great.

  1. They've had new motherboards put in so the failure rate has more than halved. There are now even newer motherboards that came this August so the failure rate is even lower. They've had HDMi ports added. They're quieter, cooler.

As of this Fall, Netflix will be added so you can stream 10,000 movies to your XBOX and a whole load of other things will be added.

  2. you should have sent it back mine only took about a week and a 1/2, anyways yeah the new 360s have a new chip to stop the rrod and the unreadable probmel (is what i sent mine back for) i prosum is fixed but if your get a new 360  ull have a new warrenty so get em 2 fix it for free
