  1. Military and LEO only

No machine gun made after 1986 can be owned by American civilians except licensed dealers in class3 weapons

They can have dealer sample under certain conditions

The NFA was in 1934 not 86

    That was Reagan's ban

You remember him the pro gun president that got shot with a cheap POS 22 so he banned machine guns

  2. here ar eno pre 86 AA-12's , you can get your 03FFL/SOT and by one, but you need to keep a current machine gun dealers liscense to keep the gun , let your FFL lapse and you are required to sell it.

Also getting an 03FFL is not exactly easy these days, ATF wil not approve unless the address is zoned retail, Unless you have a storefront , ATF is no longer approving FFL's

It can be done , but it is alot more expensive and involved then you imagine.

  3. You can get one made prior to 1986 if you have the proper liscencing, pay the $200-$300 tax stamp and have $30,000 laying around somewhere.

To put it in perspective in m60 full auto is about 60-100 grand depending and a ak47 full auto will run you over 10 grand.

  4. As the AA-12 select-fire shotgun was not developed until after the NFA '86 went into effect, only Class 3 dealers can possess them privately, and only as business samples for sale to Law Enforcement agencies.

Uncle Sugar and the anti-gunners in the Gov. think they're too dangerous for law-abiding citizens to possess, especially with the future prospects of who will be moving to D.C. next year, along with many other select-fire weapons and so-called 'destructive devices' developed since May '86.

As others have said, even if there were one available for purchase, it would cost somewhere around $50 grand, even before one paid the $200 transfer stamp tax and other taxes & fees.

  5. Post-86 machine gun. Only for Gov't agency sales.  Licensed class 3 dealer can have one sales sample.

  6. I'm going to say it's probably Law enforcement and government use only, considering it's an automatic shotgun. There is no getting these through legal means unless you are involved with the government and have a need for it.
