Buying a Digital Camera?

So i really want to buy a nice professional digital camera with some considerations:

1) i love photography, im ok with it but up till now i've just used everyday normal digital cameras. but mine broke recently and i thought it was time for a new camera that i would learn to use.

2) photography is a passion for me, im planning on taking classes

3) i want it to be nice something i can learn to use. not a beginners thing because i'm planning on having this camera for a while.

here are two i saw that i thought were pretty nice.

  1. Either is a wise investment.

  2. They are both very nice cameras. I have used them both. I currently own Canon 40D and it is an awesome camera. Please keep in mind that lenses are more important than cameras. If you buy a good camera like Nikon D300, but put a cheap lens on it you will not get good results. So you might as well buy a cheaper camera and save the extra money for lenses. I have Canon 40D($1100), Canon 50mm f/1.2L ($1400) for portraits, Canon EF 24-105 f/4L ($1100) as a general purpose lens and Canon EFS 12-22mm for landscapes. As you can see my camera is probably my cheapest gear, but my top of the line lenses produce outstanding photos. So do research on lenses and prices instead of investing a lot of money on a camera body. Most pros will give you the same advise.

    Good luck!
