I might buy a PSP in the Philippines and was wondering if it can play American version games like Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core? How much is the PSP? If you can play U.S. version games on it, how much are the official real PSP games?

  1. yes because i buy my psp in the philippines and i buy umd in usa the title of umd is crisis core and it is safe to play in your psp

  2. yes... but if you're in the Philippines, you might get jealous of every other PSP owner here with homebrewed firmware. a PSP should be less than 10000 pesos depending on the package but why buy a UMD game worth 500 pesos or more?

almost every gaming store here can just advise you to buy a bigger memory stick so that they can modify your firmware then you can just download a game from torrent sites and copy all the games you want to your memory stick (some stores already have the latest games downloaded so you can just copy it from them for less than 20 pesos a game). the newer versions of the modified firmware don't even need a UMD.

  3. Yes, it can play American Version Games... I bought mine just for about P10,000 complete with crystal case, 4GB memory card, wrist lace, the unit, charger and earphone... but now I think its somewhere 11 or 12... Well, sometimes it depends on how popular are the games you chose... There are only about 200 sometimes it reaches 500 or more... But it's better if you'll just buy the download cause it just costs 100...

You can buy it anywhere... I bought mine at Mall of Asia

  4. My son bought his at 14t complete accessories plus 1 additional memory card at SM Cebu.  And yes, it can play American version games like the ones you mentioned and many more.  As to the cost of a psp game, I really don't know.  He downloads games from the computer to his psp that's all I know.
