Buying a Prius or a Mini Cooper

Question

Hey! I'm looking for my first car, and have got it down to a Toyota Prius or a Mini Cooper. I'm having trouble deciding which one I want to get. Since I'm probably not going to get a car until February-March of 09, I have time to decide.

Reasons for an 09 Prius:

Better Gas Mileage , by about an average of 17-20 MPGs.

Less expensive than the Mini Cooper I am looking to buy.

Larger car, more trunk-space.

Hybrid.

Reasons to bye a Mini Cooper:

It's more stylish than the Prius, in my opinion.

Better Handling and "sport" performance.

Not horrible gas mileage, an average of 29 MPGs.

So that's it. I still can't decide. Please help!

Personally, I would go with the Cooper. It's more my style and I think it would give you a better driving experience. One thing to consider is interior space. The Prius will have more. Unless you need the space, the Mini is still the way to go if you ask me. They also keep their value very well.

Go with the Prius...if you can get one.  Also remember he Mini Cooper REQUIRES premium gas.  

I think a revised Prius is coming for 2009.  Supposedly gets 10% better gas mileage.

Since you aren't buying for another 6 months, I wouldn't stress too much.  Another car may catch your eye.

Even though the mini has the looks  Gas prices are so expensive i would go with the prius.

I will get the Mini Cooper because it is a cool car a MUST get car.

But NOT i mean NOT the Toyota Prius because on the front it look ugly its slower than the Mini Cooper and i know it a Hybird but the Mini is best for you.

It sounds to me as though you favor the Cooper. Wait until the end of the year to buy it, that's what I have always heard.
