Buying a Volleyball??

Is there anything to know about buying a volleyball?? I want it for indoor use. (I have never played volleyball before and was wondering--I plan to do some camps this summer and try out for my school's freshman team, so I want a real--not trainer--volleyball). Also, anything to know about buying knee pads?? Thanks!

  1. Leather volleyball:

Tachikara SV5W Gold Competition Premium Leather Volleyball

Make sure you have "GOLD" in the name.

Top quality leather ball. Approved by the NFHS® (National Federation of State High School Associations)

Intended for play for all ages

    Kneepads:

    Nike Dri-Fit or Mizuno VS-1.

They are not so bulky, well ventilated, and easier to wash.

  2. Look for the good brands like:

    Mikasa

    Tachikara

    Wilson

Here is a good indoor volleyball that's reasonably priced:

  3. Well I would say leather volleyball's are the best, and as far as knee pads use whatever you are most comfortable in! Some people prefer longer style, and some prefer the shorter rounder style, it really depends on what you like. Nike is a good brand though, I used them!

  4. Make sure you like the air pressure of the ball.  Somethimes balls are too hard so the hurt.  Also look at if the skin of the ball is soft.  Buy a good volleyball.  You might want to buy a less expenssive ball to save money, but cost and price are 2 diffretn things.  Most of the time the cheaper volleyball's skin peels and it becomes deflated quickly and it hurts.  Trust me I have bought lots of volleyballs!!  I play on my schools team and on club volleyball.

Hope this helped and good luck with volley ball you will do gr8,

    Live the volley ball gal

  8. Baiden, Tach., molten are all good balls and have differnet price ranges on several solid balls.

  9. Try a wilson ball, they are perfect not to hard but not anywhere near flat. And i personaly love nike knee pads, and get them in black so they don't show the dirt!
