Buying a Wii off of Ebay?

The Nintendo Wii is d**n near impossible to find in Houston. So I going to get one off of Ebay. I am a little bit nervous about doing it because Ive never bought anything off of Ebay. Is it realiable? Also has anyone else bought a Wii off of Ebay?

If so, did everything go smoothly. My mom was telling me to wait until "Black Friday", which is the first offical day of Christmas Shopping. I told her that is crazy. Wiis are already hard to get now, so can you imagine trying to get on 3 weeks from now. Anyways is Ebay a safe reliable source?

Ebay overall is a reliable source but there are some "bad apples" out there.  Fortunately I haven't met any of them yet.

eBay is great.

you have to know a few beginner things:

check the sellers rating.. how many items has he sold and were the customers satisfied?

you need to check the description of the item so you know what youre buying.

talk with the sellers..

Plus eBay has a beginner or just a "buyers guide"

"Buy from ebay?", I just sold mine there a few weeks ago.  If your going to buy off of ebay, make sure you buy it off a "Power Seller", you know, a person that has sold numerous times on ebay.

Also, try to avoid people that over price shipping, when I sold mine, it only cost around $18 for shipping with the post office.  

For the most part, it is safe, just pay with paypal, they insure you for up to $200.  Good luck!
