Buying a car using an international drivers licence

hi, I would like to know of it's posible to buy a brand new car using the international drivers licence. I'm not from this country but I have to wait about 3-5 years to get my paper work fixed to become a legal resident but in the mean time I wanna buy a car. Is that possible?

You need money to buy a car. You can't pay for anything with a drivers license.

Well if you are here on some sort of Visa then you certainly can get US Driver's License in your State. That and the Insurance are the Two mandatory things to buy a car. It'd be hard to get Insurance without US Driver's license anyway.

People waiting on their Green Card or Citizenship don't need to wait to buy a car. They can buy in the interim anyway.

If your Status here is questionable then obviously you can't buy anyway.

you can still get an us state driver's license.  you will need it to buy the car.  you will most likely have to pay cash if you are here without proper documentation.

you will also need proof of insurance if buying from a dealer.
