Question:

Buying a car without a warranty...is this okay?

I'm looking at buying a scion xa from a used car dealership. It's an '04 with low miles and no accidents (pretty nice looking as well). The guy said it might still have a powertrain warranty, but he said probably not. Is this a safe buy? I would imagine a Toyota would not have many problems, but then again, I'm not sure, everybody makes a lemon once in a while. Is there any kind of warranty from anybody I can buy if it doesn't currently have one?

Thanks!

  1. You probably will never need it, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to have.

Me and my family have never had a problem with any used Honda or Toyota, but I just feel better about buying the car with some kind of warranty.
