Buying a flight to Greece, and sorting accomodation when i get there..?

Question

my boyfriend lives in Greece..

Hes coming to England soon but ive always been one for a bit of an adventure and i'd prefer it if i went to see him!

i was meant to be travelling with a friend next year, but she cant go. so now im just thinking, why not go on my own?

i know i can stay with him..he says i can..

but is this really a good idea? shall i get somebody to travel with me and stay in a cheap hotel???
