Buying a hamster???????

Im looking into buying a hamster as a gift for my best friend for his birthday possibly a drawf hamster..the russian ones.

How much am I going to end up paying for everything hamster,cage,food,bedding,toy..just to get him started.

well dwarf hamsters are less expensive because they need smaller stuff so maybe a little more than 100 $ ??? The price may vary but it's pretty expensive the first time you get stuff.

chances are if you are a kid.. the store will NOT let you buy one

you didnt say what country you are in.. costs are different world wide

the CHEAPEST way to get a pet hamster is adopting it from a shelter - many times they even come with free cage and supplies

make sure you NEVER get a pet for somebody who doesnt want one

ALWAYS let them pick their own - so they will bond with it better...

total its probably gonna be about 100 dollars, but please dont buy a live pet for your friend.  If for some reason he cant care for it or someone is allergic you cant return the animal.  Please be sure that he can give it a good life before you give one as a gift.
