Buying a home cinema system..?

Question

im lookin for a good home cinema system for around £200 or less.

i would appreciate some feedback on these as i dnt know much about speakers n stuff -

i have a panasonic tv btw.

and also i was wondering what exactly satelite speakers means..?

None of the companies you listed are great for speakers. Further samsung and panasonic aren't good at anything audio. Pioneer however makes some good receivers. There speakers leave some to be desired but I would be willing to bet that the pioneer will sound the best out of them.  I own a pioneer receiver (more expensive model than yours) but they are known for making good quality receivers/dvd players, cd players etc... so I'd go with the pioneer. They also have GREAT customer service. I called and emailed them before I bought it and they were helpful and answered my email in less than a day.

I would say you could make the Samsung system sound the best since you have a lot of control over speaker placement. It doesn't have as much power as the Panasonic system but quite a bit more than the Pioneer.

The satellite speakers are the speakers you place around the room. Typically, you will have one subwoofer and 5 satellite speakers.

I've not heard any of these, but none of these companies are known for good speakers. Have you looked at the Yamaha line? I'm in the US so I can't speak to pricing, but their products sound pretty darn good in the lower price ranges.
