Ive just thought!!!!!!!

Im from the UK planning a move to hawaii in the future, BUT surely if i get a permanant visa, i still wont be able to buy a house?

Wouldnt i need a credit rating as surely my UK credit rating wouldnt count? and would they lend money to someone who had only just moved there?

BUT i am a nurse, so being as i know the country is in need of nurses, would a bank be willing to lend me the money and get a mortgage just for this reason?

I am confused!!!!!!!!

  1. a good time to buy, not a problem, talk to a Realtor, they will walk you thought the system...good luck.

  2. When you arrive, you need to get a Tax ID #, like a US Social Security number. Anyone can get one. Go to the Federal Building on Punchbowl.

You are subject to the IRS foreign Investment rules:

There are also special rules when you sell.

Email me if you have more questions. As long as you live in it, the tax penalties are not too high. If you don't it gets complicated.
