  1. Places in the Inner West such as Ashfield, Burwood, Croydon, Strathfield, Drummoyne and Concord. They have low crime levels and close to the city. Housing prices are alright in this area.

I live south of this region. Different story here. Higher crime levels.

  2. I am not an expert but i suggest if you wanna buy a house in sydney,my guess don't do it!If you wanna buy a house, why don't you try buying it in Melbourne. Its far more better!!!

  3. If you want to buy a house in Sydney you should.  Melbourne is not better than Sydney.  I have been there.  I don't know if you are looking to buy right in the city or in the Sydney area.  Now is probably a good time to buy and a bad time to sell as house prices are low at the moment.  Interest rates are continually rising so that is bad.  The best thing to do is to go to real estate agents in the area of where you are looking to buy and check out the houses there.  It will also give you an idea on prices.  Also, go to Mortgage Choice and sit down with someone and discus which lender is the best option for you and find out what is the maximum you can borrow so you know your limits when choosing a house.
