Buying a laptop..what do I need in order to get on the internet? ?

I've never owned a laptop before, so what do I need to make sure it has so I can get onto the internet?

you need first to have ISP (internet service provider),either cable or DSL,  you have to call around see what is available in your neighborhood then its easy they connect you to internet from your home then you connect that cable to your laptop ,

now a days most laptops have all the basics of what you need to connect to the Internet, what is left is the good will to buy and connect... with some common sense...

worse case scenario dial up will do....(phone line at least)

have wireless  internet  (built into most laptops)  and you need the router in your home. set up somewhere. thats what i use. !  you  will then create your own wireless network to connect to.
