I have an HP Pavilion dv5220us Notebook PC. I'm looking into getting a monitor for the laptop. My question is will i have any trouble with the monitor resolution working with my laptop. I'm looking into getting a 22 inch samsung lcd widescreen monitor that has a 1680 x 1050 maximum resolution. Right now my laptop runs on 1280 x 800.

Its a intel 945gm express chipset, don't know if that helps.

  1. It's possible that the external monitor may not be detected or the display will not be optimized.  My first suggestion is to contact HP customer support to find out from them if your choice is compatible.  They have a "questions before you buy" option.
