Iam looking to buy a bicycle and my question is how to buy the right frame size for me. My budget to buy one is $1000 give or take i want more of a crossover between a mountain bike and a touring bike. I dont go off road alott i ride hard surfce and some rough surface Iam 6'3'' and more of novice bike rider but i like to ride so if i can just get a general opinion on what type of bike to get and right frame size best for my buck in my price range it would be much appreciated thank you

  1. if you feel confident about choosing the right bike sight unseen, then search the web. however, it seems like you may want to talk to someone at a shop about what type of riding you do, do you prefer to be sitting more upright or stretched out more? also, at the bike shop you can test ride the bikes.

  2. get a cyclocross bike. redline and fuji have some pretty sweet bikes. they have the speed of road bikes and the ability to ride rough terrains of mtbs. they have the best of both worlds

ebay is a good place to start
