Question:

Buying a new canon lens?

I'm considering getting the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens, along with the 420EX speedlite.

I've looked around, but can't seem to find another lens with around the same zoom range, but a better f-stop, to eliminate the need for the speedlite as much. Any suggestions for a different lens before I purchase this one?

  1. The closest you can get is with the 70-200mm f/2.8L

Check out the telephoto zoom lenses Canon has here:

Remember that the flash will only reach a max of 15 feet.

If needed, you may just need to boost up your ISO.

  2. Good Site on lenses.
