Is there a holiday or a day of the week that is better to shop to get a better price.

How about black friday, 4th of July, mothers day, fathers day, labor day, memorial day?

how about the day of the week? I would think Wednesday would get you a better price.

  1. ive heard about that rumor too. to be precise their is no best day to buy a car for cheap. i used to believe this too, but the fact is that in order to get a good price, u gotta be able to negotiate. that means that u have to control the negotiation. dont tell salesman, that u r lookin for a specific model or specific color. dont get overly excited aabout any of the cars u like, or else  the salesman will know that hes got some leverage on u, and he can make u pay more by sayin that that car is the last one they have. u just gotta stay cool, and not get overexcited.

just check this out and maybe ull get an idea of wat im sayin.

  2. The fact is month end is going to be your best time, most dealerships are willing to give a little more at month end and the manufactures will typically offer additional incentives at that time as well. Do you research read the newspapers, and the web.

    Also use websites like

    www.carsdirect.com

    www.newcars.com

    www.edmunds.com

    www.kbb.com

and check out the dealer website as well and don't be afraid to shop around.

  3. I think the best time to buy a car is by the end of the year. When they are closing their books and they are Desperate to sell whatever they can.

I bought a car before where they will not go lower on the payment and did not want to give me a better APR. I waited until the 28th of December, I got exactly what i wanted. :)

  4. Conventional wsidom says last day of the month is best - last day of the year is even better.

We just purchased  a new Kia Saturday for our daughter going off to school. The ad had 0 percent financing - so we went with ad in hand and got exactly what  we wanted for 0 down and $250 a month.

Get there when they first open. Bring your trade if you have one - make sure it is clean - and with all paperwork.
