Question:

Buying a new hard drive?

I have a Compaq Presario SR2264WM running Fedora 9, Ubuntu 8.02, Windows XP Pro, and Mandriva One (if that matters)

I find myself wanting even more space than my 250GB harddrive split between those four operating systems

Any suggestions?

i want between a 50GB and a 160GB

  1. I recommend going with Seagate (been running one for 5 years) or WD (running one for 4 years) and picking the best GB/$ ratio - no reason to stick to such low quantities.

  2. hey buddy don't worry

    i help you

you can go for 160 gb hdd but you also need to expand your RAM

  3. If you're in the USA:

    Tigerdirect.com

    Newegg.com (also ships to canada)

    Amazon.com

    eBay.com

    If you're in canada:

    Tigerdirect.ca

Factorydirect.ca (store has the same name)

    ebay.ca

    Amazon.ca

It's always good to have a second hard disk, just in case you gotta backup the stuff on any partition, if the OS gets bugged up or fails to boot.

    I got a 2nd hdd also.

  4. seagate has never failed me
