  1. A race horse can cost between $2500 to $75000, depending on where exactly you are located and the track that is closest. Look at your other question that I answered to get the cost info

  2. unless your filthy rich, i wouldn't even consider owning a racehorse out rite, as the costs can quickly become over-whelming for maintaining the health and well-being of your horse!

the best way to get involved in ownership is through a syndicate, which i have done!

for example, you might pay around $15,000 for a share in a regally bred horse, and you share the costs of training aggistment feed vet bills ect, ect!

this option for me, far out weighs out rite ownership, as i am just an average jo truck driver who works 5 days a week, and cant afford huge vet bills!

  3. You can claim a horse for as little as 2.000 up to 500.000.00

or buy one anywhere from say 5,000 to millions

So It all depends on how much you have and what you want

The average day fee is about $65.00 to 125.00 a day

depending on where you are running,, meaning Bush tracks or Big ones Like Santa Anita e.t.c.

You must find a really good trainer,

Just because he might Not have won the Kentucky Derby

does not mean he,or she is not a good trainer

I would go with the Guy, Or Girl ,, who has been around awhile and Not over 65 horses in training ,,,

I can give you some names....

I just know them and know that they are honest ,,

  4. care is the expense/ cost to buy 5000 and upwards/

i would not even think about til i had 250 k to spend a year
