Buying a sidekick lx?

I want to buy the sidekick lx. Im turning 15, and my parents said if i buy a sidekick...and for my birthday, which is less than a month away, they'll make a individual plan for me. I wanted to know ... can i go buy it alone if im 14 and without having any plans? would i be able to just ask to buy it and they'd give it to me?

how much would it cost??
