Buying a skateboard need big time help!!

Question

i want an official skateboard just like rob dyrdek. i was looking at this one.

but i don't understand anything about skateboards and it says buy it in 7.625.what is that?if you see this board with the wheels on it can u send me a link please?also can u give me a site where i can learn all about skateboarding?literally everything.i want to learn.please help

When I started out, I used a wal-mart board.

BUT, the best choice for you to make is get a blank deck, and not a really expensive one that you might not even skate two months down the road.

The best place to shop online is blackholeskateboards.com or ccs.com

Also look up on wikipedia the history of skateboarding.

I can tell you quickly what parts are what.

Deck - the thing you ride, that piece of wood.

(When it says anything like 7.25 through 8, that means how many inches in width it is, they also have the length too but that's not really important to me..) also, a deck needs GRIPTAPE so you can have a grip when you skate.

Hardware - the bolts

Risers - these are to rise your trucks and wheels a bit more so your wheels don't hit the deck (these are optional)

Trucks - These are what connect the wheels to the board.

Bearings - Depending on what Abec they are determines the speed, they have speeds of 3, 7 and 9 I believe. These are the things that go inside the wheel so it helps you coast and move.

Wheels- well, hopefully you know what these are.
