Question:

Buying a toilet online.... anyone done this before?

i'm switching my household to a pressure-assisted toilet that can easily handle heavy use with less water. both Home Depot/Lowe's dont carry any in their stores, so i checked on line and found some good ones, like American Standard, etc, for great prices! (like $65-$85)

so the question is... has anyone bought a toilet online?

did you install it yourself or go through an installer or if any plumbers can give me a hint or two....

also, here's one i was looking at for some ridiculously low price... any ideas?

  1. uh, oh I think it is ridiculously lo priced and I would wonder why.  Take the model and style number and see if you can find it elsewhere online and maybe get some reviews.  We bought all our plumbing and lighting fixtures online and had the plumber and contractor install them.  It worked out fine. I would not install a toilet myself only because of that ring seal thing on the bottom. I did find that several people did not have a high rating about American Standard. Plumbers preferred Mansfield and Kohler along with some others. My contractor said not to go with Toto because it needs special sizing.  The toilets we ended up with were around $200 each. Hope this helps.
