Question:

Buying a used motorcycle during winter. Huge price drop?

I want to wait till winter to buy a motorcycle. Can I expect to get a deal that would sound unrealistic during summer? For example, will I be able to get a new-looking 2004-2005 Yamaha R6/R1 or Kawasaki ninja zx6r/ ninja 650r for about $2000?

Thanks

  1. As soon as the temperature drops in around October, you should be able to name your price from all the fair weather kids unloading their summer machines. But don't expect much from the dealers.

  2. sounds realistic

  3. Normally you will get a lower price in the winter for motorcycles. Wise choice.

  4. Many motorcycle shops close during the winter.

but if you go JUST BEFORE (like 1 week before) they close, you can get a good deal.  I've done this twice.

How good of a deal depends on how good you are at negotiating.  But the won't take a loss

    Good Luck....
