Question:

Buying an HDTV with a walmart credit card?

I'd like to buy an HDTV and it's going to come up to around $700 after taxes and everything. I'm going to purchase it at wal-mart because they have the best prices but I'm going to purchase it with the wal-mart credit card. I'd like to purchase the tv in the store because I just want to get it as soon as I pay for it, so if I go to the store, sign up for the credit card, and get approved will I be able to buy the tv right after I get the approval or do I have to wait until the actual card comes in the mail and stuff?

  1. Most times walmart will only start you with a $300 limit unless you have good income and good credit. and their interest rates and fees are high as both my children have found out. Hey I like the store as I purchase many things there, but would not use their credit card, it is second only to Capital One.

  2. First of all I wouldn't buy an HDTV from Walmart, I have bought all my HDTV at Best Buy, they always have great deals and if your paying with or applying for a new credit card, Best Buy has great credit terms, for example 90 days same as cash, or 2 years no interest.  If you feel that Walmart is where you would like to purchase the TV, once you apply and are approved for the amount of credit needed for your purchase, you can pay and leave with your item immediately.  Hope this helps.  BTW, Samsung has the best picture.
