Buying an Italian suit in Italy?

I want to buy a fine Italian suit while I'm overseas in Rome and Bologna in May. I'm wondering how much I'll have to spend to purchase such a suit.

A really nice suit in Italy will cost you between 300 and 600 Euro. Depending on the quality and brand.

If you travel by road from Rome to Bologna there is a big outlett mall outside of Bologna that will sell at discounted rates. There are for sure outlet places in Rome and Bologna as well - but you will need to ask the locals for directions.

In any case I would recommend to buy the suit in Bologna. It is cheaper and you will get better quality there.

If your stay happens to coincide with the summer sale (think it will start in July) you will be up for great bargains as usually all will be discounted 30-50% ...
