Just wondering, is it bad to buy cheap items on a credit card? Lunch at a fast food restaurant, something to drink at the gas station ect.

I pay off my credit card as soon as a balance shows up and i don't spend more than i make at work. But its my first credit card and im just making sure im not doing any thing "wrong"

  1. As long as you pay the bill in full every month they don't care what you buy.

I have done this with 2 cards for almost 2 years now and raised my score almost 150-points and got almost $1,000.00 in cash back rewards last year.

Not bad for using someone else's money for free.

  2. It doesn't matter what you buy just make sure you continue to pay the balances in full.  That is  a great way to build credit.  They will see you don't abuse the balance and will increase your credit line.

My checkbook never leaves the house, all my purchases go on my card, then I pay it off in full.

Your doing the right thing, just don't let it get out of control.
