Buying flight tickets.. how safe is priceline.com?

Have you purchased tickets through them, they are the cheapest i can find... i need to know how safe they are.. i usually get them with travelocity but they are more expensive... Thank yhou

They are very safe and secure.  Just make sure that what you buy on Priceline.com is exactly what you are looking for.  They offer two services.  Buy flights at specific times on specific airlines for the quoted price (much like Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, etc.) or the "name your price" option where you don't know the airline or times until you actually "bid" for the ticket and that price is accepted.  If you buy the tickets using "name your price" it is pretty much a "use it or lose it" situation.  If something arises and you cannot travel you cannot make any changes.

Yes it safe. I always book through the airline provider (ex: US Air, Southwest, etc.)

I love priceline.  Only thing is do spend the extra $15 or whatever to get the travel insurance, and make sure your dates are right, because you're stuck with them once you hit purchase.  Other than that they're no different than any other online ticket service.
