Buying from abroad with a credit card will i have any problem?

i have just shopped online in Australia for my daughters food,i have paid with my credit card in England the food will be deliverd on monday will there be a problem with this she is in Australia i am in England

  1. No, there wont!! Ive shopped online many, many times all over the world, paying by credit card and had no problems. and they wouldnt have accepted payment with your card from you if not.


  2. I guess you'll find out soon enough but the real answer depends on the credit card provider. I have a friend who had her card cancelled by the credit card company because she lives in the US and bought (attempted) to buy from England. They assumed it was fraud and not only cancelled the order on her behalf but cancelled her credit card so that even SHE couldn't use it until she got a replacement. I wish you luck. For the most part you shouldn't have a problem but that would be like me trying to diagnose if a person is pregnant by chatting with them online. There's a 50/50 chance of either a problem or no problem.


  3. Shouldn't be a problem if they accepted the card, and they will normally if it's a big name (Mastercard/Visa).

    You will of course be billed in UK pounds after the exchange rate, but credit cards are actually a reasonably good way to exchange money, offering lower rates than (for instance) converting money at a currency exchange.
